In Japan, where a large part of the young population is single, virtual friends are on the market. Targeting Japanese men living alone, the product treats it as if it were loved by its owner.
Japan faces the biggest ‘bachelors’ issue of its history. It is known that the younger generation is largely avoiding romantic relationships, which in turn affects birth rates and rapidly reduces the population. The problem has been handled by the Japanese media and the media has called this problem “Singularity Syndrome”.
‘YOU’LL KEEP YOUR LIFE, UNLIMITED YOUR FREEDOM’
A Japanese firm has produced a holographic friendship to help young people solve the biggest problem. Virtual friends developed by Gatebox are similar to the virtual assistants previously developed by Apple, Amazon and Microsoft, but they are much more humanly separated from each other. The owner gives the message of “enjoying your life, leaving you without restricting our freedom”.
JAPANESE WAVES TARGETED
The prototype virtual friend, called Azuma Hikari, resides in a 50 cm glass tube with a holographic projection. The developer company Gatebox targets single Japanese men, describing the product as “a relaxing character for those living alone at home.” The holographic character lives on the inside of the tube wearing mini skirts and knee-high socks.
“YOUR MY COLLECTION IS LIKELY”
The ad that was released this week in Japan created excitement in the country. As you can see in the ad, a young, lonely man is talking about his love as a virtual assistant on his way home from work. The assistant, who says “Come home early”, greets him when he comes back to the owner’s house and says, “I miss you, darling.”
49% have not had sex for 1 month
According to the Japan Family Planning Association, interest in the traditional relationship type began to disappear in 2015. According to the survey, 49 percent of those between the ages of 16 and 49 have not had sex in the month we passed.
ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP NOT HOT
According to a 2011 report, 61 percent of men and 49 percent of women do not have a warm romantic relationship. Japanese relations adviser Ai Aoyama says that this trend is at the national level and that “the sincerity of mankind is gone”.
3000 DOLLAR FRONT ORDER OPENED
Holographic characters, virtual assistants, are not expected to find a solution to this problem. It is only aiming to offer an isolated generational relief. That’s why the debate has already begun across the country. The pre-sale product sold by Gatebox is sold for about $ 3,000.
“AGAINST SIZE PASSENGER”
When you first opened the product, the character disappeared, “I’ve been longing for a world I’ve never seen before, and now I am honored to be a size passer. I hope I can help you.”
