Security has been an important concept since it has existed, but digital security has also gained an importance in recent months. At this point, Google is releasing a new security update specific to Pixel and Nexus devices.
The technology giant has begun offering new updates for Google, Pixel and Nexus devices. As part of the Android release, Google has released factory images, adding a number of features to these two phones, along with their security significance. The improvements made within the scope of the update were a solution to 58 problems in total.
On the other hand, after the Android 8 Oreo update last year, many users had proximity sensor problems. With improvements in June, Google improved Bluetooth LE performance on all devices and completely eliminated the problem.
The list of devices receiving upgrades is as follows:
Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL (OPM2.171026.006.C1 / OPM4.171019.021.E1)
Pixels, XL Pixels, C Pixels (OPM4.171019.021.D1)
Nexus 5X / 6P (OPM6.171019.030.B1)
If you are also using these devices, you can download the June 2018 update to your device by visiting the Settings-> System update tabs. Alternatively, you can download updates for your device via OTA ZIP files. This will also help protect user data.
